On February 4, Attorney Sungwoo (Goni) Kim of SOLARIS spoke as a featured speaker at the 2026 Energy Plus Conference at COEX in Seoul.
Co-hosted by the Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association (KOEMA) and Industry Daily (Kidd), the conference focused on "Sustainable Innovation through Distributed Energy and ESS" and drew strong industry interest, with some 400 people registering in advance. As AI and data centers drive a surge in electricity demand, energy storage systems (ESS), which make renewable energy more efficient, and distributed energy matter more than ever.
Speaking in the morning session, Attorney Kim gave professionals from the electricity and power sectors an in-depth analysis of the latest developments and legal issues in the ESS industry and shared legal insights they can apply in practice right away. The lively Q&A that followed helped clear up much of the regulatory and legal uncertainty companies face.
Drawing on a deep understanding of the industry, SOLARIS will continue to provide top-tier legal services so that companies can innovate with stability in ESS and distributed energy, the foundation of the next-generation energy industry.
